Full disclosure, this was supposed to be a split zine with me about gender that we were going to release at the 2020 Deary Diarly Perzine Fest but I ended up writing Brainscan 34 about dabbling in DIY Witchery instead. Oops, sorry Jonas!
In this zine by the prolific Jonas they navigate gender and identity through logic problems, spider monkeys, and the unknowable with the underlying hope of finding understanding with those that care about us. Okay, I may have made that last part up but I suspect it is true as I know Jonas to be a good friend with a kind and supportive heart. As a fellow 40-something with a complicated relationship with gender I appreciate this zine as I think it is important for everything to examine their own relationship to the world around them.
