This was the first witchcraft books that I read where things started to click for me. I had read a bunch of neo-Wiccan books that seemed so structured and definitive like there was only one way to practice witchcraft and magic and all those books just didn't sit right with me. I picked up this book because I liked plants and gardening and I founds that I just really enjoyed Ellen Dugan's conversational tone and her stories from personal experiences where she did things her own made and made her own magic. While I would say that my practiced has moved away from this kind of paganism as I build my own secular witchcraft practice over 15 years, but I still wanted to pick this book up for the shop because I see the value in it. -Alex Wrekk
