A perzine documenting a four-day pilgrimage to the Viridis Genii Symposium in the PNW. This zine is an intimate exploration of plant magic, ancestral reclamation, and the art of "making room" in the vessel of your own practice.
In the summer of 2023, thanks to the support of my community, I attended the Viridis Genii Symposium, which is a multidisciplinary gathering focused on plant magic, folklore, and esotericism.
This zine is my personal record of that experience. Moving beyond the clinical view of herbalism, this journal explores the hidden world of the "Green Gnosis." From the alchemy of hand-made paper and the folklore of "elf-shot" in Appalachia to the plant-spirit traditions of the Serbian Orthodox folk context, I document the lectures, workshops, and communal discovery found in the Pacific Northwest woods.
Beyond the symposium notes, this is a deeply personal piece about finding one’s place in an animist world.
